Nearly 25,000 households in Queensland's southeast were left experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after severe thunderstorms swept through the region, generating powerful gusts hitting 109km/h.
Substantial Hailstones and Broad Destruction
Locals observed substantial frozen pellets as large as seven centimeters in some areas. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that different parts across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

Emergency crews were attempting to repair power throughout the impacted areas, with approximately seventy teams activated to handle the widespread outages.

Humid circumstances were forecast to persist along much of Queensland's east this coming days as a atmospheric system continued to attract humidity against the coast.
Tuesday was predicted as the wettest day, with persistent storm activity predicted across multiple regions of both states.

Medical authorities warned that there was an higher risk of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
